Sister Judi Morin, SSA, holds a special place in my heart. Her smile greeted me each time I saw her at church or at a special celebration. Her kindness overwhelmed me when I attended a Potluck at a gathering we both attended last year. She was overjoyed to let me know that the food she brought was both gluten free and dairy free which is not an easy task for me to find.
It does not surprise me that at Sister Judi’s Mass of Christian Burial on May 1, 2026, she was introduced as “66 years ago the kid from Parksville who loved tea and cookies, who fed others with warmth, listened, deep concern and with the love of teaching others.”
Sister Judi’s love for Christ shone through brightly everywhere she went. The very things that touched my heart deeply were the characters that were mentioned in memory of her. The skills Judi developed, including being the first to embrace technology combined with her love for God and others, is a powerful message of a life well lived. I am grateful for each moment I shared with Sister Judi. Rest in peace Sister Judi.
God carefully selected flowers for His garden
Each Sister of Saint Ann with her unique ways
They share their special gifts with others
The fruits of their projects blossom
The work they have done will always be
Each Sister has her favourite flower
As I walk throughout my day I remember them.
A daffodil, a rose or a lily to name a few
Another petal has fallen off
As it forms a beautiful flower garden in heaven
