PARSONS, Mary Violet Patricia – March 13th, 1911 – October 6th, 2012 Our dear mother slipped peacefully away while residing at Mt. St. Marys Hospital in Victoria. Born Patricia McNamee in Kuroki, Saskatchewan, she grew up and took all her schooling in that small community where her parents owned the Kuroki Hotel. She trained as a registered nurse at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon. She met and married Joseph Thomas Parsons, a member of the RCMP. They embarked on an exciting police career together, having been stationed in rural towns in Saskatchewan. Their combined efforts met with considerable success. As Joseph achieved senior positions with Patricia at his side, they expanded their postings to Yorkton and Regina, Saskatchewan, Victoria, BC, Whitehorse Yukon, and Ottawa Ontario. They retired in 1965 to Victoria where Patricia was predeceased by Joseph in 1989.
