God is all
and I am nothing.
In his eye
I am all.

Did He not
once assure us
He knows should
a sparrow fall?

Sometimes in my
human passion
I fly in the
face of Him.

Widely winging
wildly singing
exaltation
for my hymn.

Only then
do I remember
start to falter
loudly call.

God in heaven
hear my prayer
heed a sparrow
'ere it fall.

God is all
and I am nothing.
In his eye
I am all.

Did He not
once assure us
He knows should
a sparrow fall?

Sometimes in my
human passion
I fly in the
face of Him.

Widely winging
wildly singing
exaltation
for my hymn.

Only then
do I remember
start to falter
loudly call.

God in heaven
hear my prayer
heed a sparrow
'ere it fall.
