Lorraine Murray’s children’s book, Emma In The Muddle is an adorable story told through the eyes of a Newfoundland puppy. Because Emma did not want her owner, Madeleine, to leave home she caused many adventures for the two of them to do together.
Lorraine has a skill to combine humour and educational moments as she satisfied my imagination. The descriptive words flow off my tongue in a fun way. As I read each chapter I would experience various emotions, smiling and laughing out loud (LOL). Reading Lorraine’s, Emma In The Muddle, book is so fantastic that I had a dream several Newfoundland puppies who got scared and lost from their owner came running and cuddling into me as I was crouched down. My dream felt vivid! Big smooshy kisses (BSK). I truly was drawn into the book! Lorraine’s illustrator captured the pictures brilliantly. I would highly recommend this book to be part of any child’s library. Even the big kids and adults will enjoy spending time reading this with their children.
