The Editor,
The Editor,
What a beautiful surprise to open the latest edition of ICN and find that you’d printed our latest request for support! Thank you for that and thank you for continuing the work of the Island Catholic News. It’s a beacon for us here across the water.
It’s such a challenge for all of us living in these times to understand the macro machinations in our world, church, country, city and connect them to our micro activities. I believe your emphasis on things such as the study and promotion of evolutionary Christianity, ecumenism, being prophetic and embracing creativity is very important to our survival and evolution. I repeat frequently, as much for my own benefit as for others, that relationships are at the heart of everything good. If we don’t try to recognize the Creator in all aspects of Creation and engage in relationships with it, then we cannot know God. It is a constant challenge for me to do this but the results are immeasurable. Connecting with the spark of Creation in another person or living piece of our planet is truly life-giving. May we all experience this daily for the healing of ourselves and our world.
