    March 24-27 renowned Irish spiritual writer Diarmid O’Murchu will be in attendance at Bethlehem Retreat Centre as part of a special Holy Week progressive spirituality approach to the traditional celebration of the Death and Resurrection of Christ – details on this in program ad listed below as well.
O’Murchu has spoken on Vancouver Island a number of times and has built up a serious following among progressive Christians and those interested in sensitive interfaith dialogue and ritual.
      Another joint program of interest  is the Walk with the Mystics series currently underway in conjunction with the Gabriola Island Ecumenical association. This has included Hindu, Sufi, Judaism as well as Christian mystics including Teilhard de Chardin and Julian of Norwich.

     Bethlehem centre is looking for an Executive Director and has hired an Operations Manager who will be responsible for program development and the physical plant and premises. The Executive Director is expected to focus primarily on promotion of the centre, community relations and overall planning which includes fund raising, membership development and wider community relations including media and communications nationally and in the West.
