Passed away in Victoria on May 26, 2015. Bernard was born in Evere, Belgium on March 31, 1942, predeceased by his wife Nova, December 30, 2013, stepsons Mark and Murray Moran and a stepdaughter Mavis Wong. Leaves behind three stepsons, Max, Marvin and Monty Moran Bernard also leaves behind 9 siblings: Anne Marie-Ange, Jean-Marie (Pierrette), Isabelle Gidon, Deacon Guy (Hélène), Thérèse, Yves, Roland (Marian) Benoit (Anna Maria) and Marguerite (Ronald Rocheleau) leaving many nieces and nephews.

Passed away in Victoria on May 26, 2015. Lived in Quebec with family from 1948-1959. Studied in Dupuy, St. Elzéar, with the Brothers of St. Gabriel in St. Bruna and Mascouche at the Seminary of Ste Thérèse-de-Blainville and then came west with the family in 1959. Studied at Christ the King Seminary in Mission City, BC and graduated from St. Louis College in Victoria in 1961. 
He was a technician in Electronics (RETA) Radio Electronics Technician Association, former parishioner of St. Patrick, St. Andrews Cathedral, St. Joseph Franciscan Friary and of late, Our Lady, Queen of Peace. He was a former member of the Pastoral Council, a member of the Knights of Columbus Victoria Council 1256, a member of the 3rd Order of the Franciscans and an Associate of the Sisters of St. Ann. He was a long time server at the church, starting at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in 1960 until recently at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish. For the last 23 years, he visited and comforted the sick at Royal Jubilee Hospital. The Funeral and High Mass was held at Our Lady, Queen of Peace on June 2, 2015 and Internment at Hatley Park Cemetery.
