Peter Vezza Died with Dignity and Grace

In the early hours of November 23, 2014 Peter Vezza, after being diagnosed with cancer five weeks previously, died at home with dignity and grace. Peter was born in 1931 in Glasgow. He attended St. Conval’s Elementary School and Holyrood Senior Secondary. Peter left school at age 14 to go to work in his father’s barbershop. In 1952 he immigrated to Canada and in 1953 was joined by his fiancé, Elsie. The two were married at St. Andrews Cathedral in Victoria. He was predeceased by Elsie after 50 years of  marriage, his parents, Arnold and Mary (nee McGlynn) Vezza and his brothers, Arnold and John Vezza. He is survived by his children, Carmela (Paul), Arnold (Lynette) and Louise (Raj); grandchildren, Emily Peele, Olivia Vezza and Quinn and Zane Takhar, close friend Morag and Dr. Gail Smith.
